Roanoke police arrested a man Sunday morning and charged him with the murder of his wife.
Bryant Ross, 36, was arrested in the killing of 34-year-old Vickie Shantella Ross. Vickie Ross was found dead in the back seat of her mother's abandoned car Saturday afternoon in the 4200 block of Peach Tree Drive Northwest, according to a police news release.
She was reported missing Friday night by a friend who was to meet her to go to a party.
When the friend arrived at Vickie Ross' apartment in the 5200 block of Lancelot Lane Northwest, she said she saw Bryant Ross, Vickie Ross' estranged husband, driving away.
An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of Vickie Ross' death.
Information about where Bryant Ross was arrested was unavailable, although the news release said the arrest was made ``without incident.''
Bryant Ross is from Philadelphia, police said.
