SHARON H. BRADLEY and JORDAN B. RODGERS were selected by the Virginia Western Educational Foundation to receive McFarland Scholarships. Bradley, in her second year of the general studies program at Virginia Western, will receive $700 to assist with tuition during the 1995-96 academic year. Rodgers, also a second year general studies major, will receive $300.
SHANNON RICHARD BASHAM, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray S. Basham of Roanoke, was awarded a Presidential Fellows Scholarship at High Point University. Selection for the $2,500 renewable award was based on scholarship, leadership and citizenship. Basham is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School.
JONATHAN A. TURNER, son of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Turner of Roanoke, was awarded the Academic Achievement Scholarship at Cedarville College in Cedarville, Ohio. The scholarship recognizes excellent secondary school achievement and potential for high achievement in college. Turner is senior at Roanoke Valley Christian School.
