Police arrested a Roanoke County man Wednesday and charged him with the rape of an 18-year-old Roanoke woman.
Forrest Wayne Poff Jr., 20, was being held in the Roanoke City Jail pending a hearing today. Bail was set at $2,500.
The woman told police she was raped about 12:30 a.m. Monday.
Roanoke police gave this account:
The 18-year-old and another female were riding around with a man in his car and stopped in the 1300 block of Eddington Road Southeast.
The other female told the 18-year-old that the man wanted to have sex with both of them, police said.
The 18-year-old refused and said the other two got out of the car and had sex while she waited.
When they returned to the car, the 18-year-old told police that the man began to fondle her. The other female urged him to rape her, and he did, the 18-year-old told police.
Then the other two took the 18-year-old back to her house. Later that day, she reported the incident to police.
