Wythe County's chief prosecutor said no charges will be filed in the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old Wytheville boy Sunday.
The death of Robert Steven Fasano apparently resulted from the accidental discharge of a gun at the Wytheville home of Susan Lefler when four young people, including the victim, were playing around with it, said Commonwealth's Attorney Tommy Baird.
An investigation confirmed that the shooting was an accident, Baird said. He also said the boy's family is not interested in pursuing charges.
