BEDFORD WOMAN DIES OF INJURIES FROM CAR WRECK

A 44-year-old Bedford County woman died Friday at Roanoke Memorial Hospital of injuries she received in a car accident Wednesday.

Virginia Cottrell Crawford of Thaxton lost control of her car and struck a tree after her car slid on a patch of black ice on Virginia 682 near Kelso about 7:30 a.m., according to state police.

Crawford was a loan officer at Bedford Federal Savings Bank. - Staff report
