RU Saturday activities for kids

RADFORD - Radford University's Physical Education Majors Club will offer a two-hour activity program for children ages 5 to 12 beginning Saturday. This six-week program will meet on Saturdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Each session will include soccer, gymnastics, swimming and games for all children.

Registration will be on Friday |from 5 to 6:15 p.m. in Peters Hall. The program is limited to the first 75 children registered. The cost is $20.

City courts relocating

RADFORD - The offices of Radford City General District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court will be closed from Monday, Jan. 15, through Friday, Jan. 19, in order to relocate to their new offices at the municipal building. Payments - fines and court costs - will be accepted by mail.

Offices will reopen on Monday, Jan. 22, at 8:30 a.m.

NRCC announces registration begins

CHRISTIANSBURG - New River Community College's spring semester begins Jan. 15. Registration continues at the Dublin campus or at Appalachian Hall, 412 Roanoke St., Christiansburg.

Students may choose from courses in biology, business management and administration, computer information systems, drafting, economics, English, geology, history, instrumentation, marketing, math, office systems technology, psychology, nursing and speech. Day and evening classes are available.

Noncredit course topics range from "Preparation for the Scholastic Aptitude Test" to "Home Interior Design." Continuing education courses provide hands-on instruction with the latest computer software.
