ARTIST PLANS LECTURE

          will speak today at 3 p.m. in the ocmmunity room at the Blacksburg 
          Polcie Department. Carter will reflect on his long career as a 
          teacher and a sculptor and show slides of his work. Recently, he 
          attended the dedication of Ikenoue Christ Church in Japan where 16 
          of his scupltures were commissioned by the architect, Akira Inadomi.
          His talk Sunday is free and open to the public.
