Gil Haskell showed improvement Monday, a day after the Green Bay Packers assistant coach suffered a fractured skull when he was knocked to the turf in a sideline mishap.
Dr. John Gray, associate team physician, said doctors anticipate a good recovery. Haskell's condition, reported as serious, has shown ``very encouraging progress.''
Haskell, 52, who coaches Green Bay's receivers, was injured late in the second quarter of the NFC championship game Sunday at Texas Stadium in Irving. Dallas Cowboys safety Darren Woodson drove flanker Robert Brooks out of bounds and into Haskell, his head striking the artificial turf.
