The Radford City School Parent Resource Center will be host of a free workshop focusing on children with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. The program will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 25, in the library of Belle Heth Elementary School.
Lois Kugler, clinical psychologist and a Radford University professor, will lead participants in activities and intervention methods involving the ADHD child. Kugler will bring the latest research information concerning these special children. They sometimes are viewed as ``daydreamers'' or prominent classroom attention grabbers, when in fact the behavior can be attributed to their disorder.
Teachers who attend the workshop will receive two points toward recertification. Child care and refreshments will be provided. For more information, call 731-3679.
