Senior Rashad Wall scored a game-high 30 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Laurel Park to a 66-62 victory over Tunstall on Wednesday night in a Piedmont District matchup in Martinsville.
Wall scored nine points in the first quarter and 11 in the third, and Laurel Park (7-6 overall, 7-5 district) led 47-38 at the end of the third quarter.
Derrick Rodgers and Lorenzo Preston scored seven points apiece and Lashon Adkins made six free throws as the Trojans (3-6, 4-8) put up 24 points in the final period, but it wasn't enough.
Rodgers finished with 24 points for Tunstall, and Preston and Adkins had 12 apiece.
Salem 57, Magna Vista 45: Herschel Thomas scored 16 points and Kwam Lewis had 15 to lead the Spartans past the Warriors in a non-district matchup in Ridgeway.
Andy Beach added 12 points for Salem, which outscored Magna Vista 19-9 in the third quarter to pull away from a one-point lead. Landa Martin led the Warriors with eight points.
