The Cardiac Therapy and Intervention Center at Virginia Tech has served the New River Valley since 1976. The nonprofit organization offers medically supervised exercise and disease risk-factor reduction services for individuals with heart disease. Preventative exercise programs are available to help people reduce the risk for developing cardiovascular disease. A supervised aquatic exercise program is also available. RADFORD COMMUNITY HOSPITAL A cardiac risk assessment, ``HeartNet Heart Profile,'' will be offered Feb. 17, 7-11 a.m., at the Norwood Center in Radford, and Feb. 23 at Giles Memorial Hospital. The profile includes a computerized risk assessment that combines habits and family history to determine a person's risk for heart disease. Participants will get a personalized report and heart disease prevention information. The cost is $20.
