SCHOOLS OPEN OR CLOSED?

Roanoke schools will remain closed today because several bus drivers had concerns about safety after test runs Wednesday.

Schools in Roanoke, Franklin and Craig counties also will be closed.

Botetourt, Floyd, Giles and Montgomery counties will decide this morning whether to open today. School officials are waiting to see if overnight precipitation will cause roads to be slippery.

Schools in Salem, Radford, Bedford County and Pulaski County are scheduled to be open. Radford will be on its regular schedule, but the other three localities will open two hours late.
