An Elk Creek man died Friday afternoon after his truck struck a tree in Grayson County.
Gailen McVay Baldwin, 67, was driving a pickup south on U.S. 21 north of Independence when he ran off the road and hit a tree, according to a state police report. The report did not elaborate on what caused him to run off the road.
Baldwin was taken to Twin County Regional Hospital about 1:40 p.m. He died there at 2:35 p.m.
