Water fees
WYTHEVILLE - A comparison of water and sewer rates carried in an article Jan. 28 showed fees in the town of Wytheville as being higher than they actually are.
The monthly fee for users of up to 4,200 gallons of water is $16.80, and for a corresponding amount of water used in sewer service, $12.25. The rates quoted in the article, which were being compared to proposed Wythe County rates for similar services, were for water and sewer users living outside the town who pay a 75 percent surcharge on their rates.
