Economy lecture
BLACKSBURG - John Taylor, macroeconomist, will present "Is U.S. Trade Policy Toward Japan on the Right Track," at Virginia Tech Squires Colonial room on Feb. 22, at 7:30 p.m. Taylor served as a member of President Bush's Council of Economic Advisors. He was responsible for assembling the administration's economic forecasts and was a senior member of the United States delegation to the U.S.-Japan trade talks.
The event is free and is sponsored by American Asia Student Association, Virginia Tech Union-Speakers and Issues and the Economics Club of Virginia Tech.

Farming conference
CHRISTIANSBURG - A Grower to Grower conference, sponsored by the New River Chapter of the Virginia Association for Biological Farming, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 8:30 to 4 p.m., at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Christiansburg.
