Virginia has released a revised 1996 football schedule in which a proposed Sept.14 home game with Texas has been pushed back to Sept.28.
Maryland, scheduled to visit Scott Stadium on Oct.12, has been moved to the Sept.14 slot. The Cavaliers now will have an open date Oct.12.
The date of the UVa-Texas game was changed for television purposes, sources said. The Cavaliers' season-ending game with Virginia Tech earlier had been rescheduled for Nov.29, also for TV.

nThe Radford Bobcats knocked off Floyd County and Shawsville to win the Three Rivers District wrestling tournament held at Radford on Thursday.
The Bobcats had 193.5 points with Floyd County second at 177. Shawsville was third with 95. Radford advances to the Region C tournament which will be held next Saturday at Radford.
Individual winners for the Bobcats included Joseph Goorskey in the 103-pound division; Stephen Murphy, who remained unbeaten at 125; Benji Fry in the 130-pound division; Brian Hudson at 135; Michael Dunbar at 145 with his brother, Elmo, in the 215-pound division; Peter Lee in the 152-pound class; and Chris Vickers in the heavyweight division.
Auburn defeated Giles 15-13, 15-12 to win the Three Rivers District volleyball tournament and advance to the Region C tournament.
Auburn defeated Radford to gain the title game, while Giles defeated Floyd County. Giles also advanced to the Region C tournament.
