Parents soon will be making plans for their children's summer activities, and The Roanoke Times wants to help. On March 31 we will publish a list of area summer camps.
Camp operators who would like their day or overnight program included may mail information to Summer Camps, in care of the features department, The Roanoke Times, P.O. Box 2491, Roanoke, Va. 24010-2491.Information must be received by March 15 and will not be accepted by telephone.
Include dates of sessions with space available, a brief description of the activities, sponsoring organization, location, ages and sexes accepted, prices, mailing address and phone number. Camps must last for at least three consecutive days and meet for at least half a day. Classes, such as tap dance and karate, that are not a part of a special summer program will not be listed.
Please include a daytime phone number we can call in case there are questions about your listing.
Because of space restrictions, we can publish listings only for camps in Salem and Roanoke and the counties of Roanoke, Botetourt, Montgomery, Floyd, Giles, Pulaski, Bedford, Franklin and Craig.
