Radford University shut out Coastal Carolina in overtime to edge the Chanticleers 77-73 on Saturday night in a Big South Conference women's game in Conway, S.C.
Rebecca McNeil (Christiansburg High School) led the way for the Highlanders (13-9 overall, 7-4 conference) with a career-high 27 points. Lisa Howard contributed 18 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds, and Dede Logemann and Nakia Bridges added 10 points each.
Coastal Carolina (8-14, 6-5) had four double-figure scorers, led by Tameka Tender and Tina Boester with 15 points apiece.

Xavier 83, Virginia Tech 70: Senior guard Amy Siefring had a triple double - 11 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists - to lead the Musketeers past the Hokies in an Atlantic 10 Conference game in Cincinnati.
Jenny Rauh came off the bench to add 19 points in 16 minutes for Xavier (14-9, 7-6).
Michelle Hollister led the way for Virginia Tech (8-14, 6-7) with 22 points and nine rebounds. Hollister, a sophomore forward, has averaged 21 points and nine rebounds in her past nine games.
Maryville (Tenn.) 103, Roanoke 79: Whitney Williamson hit seven 3-pointers, and the Lady Scots pulled away from a five-point halftime lead to overpower the Maroons in Maryville, Tenn., in a battle of NCAA Division III South Region powers.
Top-ranked Maryville pounded Roanoke 55-32 on the boards, led by Jane Cameron's 10 rebounds. Jamie Parrott led the Scots with 22 points, Williamson finished with 21 and Jennifer Buck added 16.
Amy Athey (Cave Spring) led the Maroons with 13 points and Carrie McConnell (Pulaski County) scored 12.
Emory & Henry 82, Washington and Lee 70: Sallie Lefler scored 27 points, and the Wasps rallied from a three-point halftime deficit to defeat the Generals in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference matchup in Emory.
Jackie Greene (Galax) had 18 points and 10 rebounds and Katie Brann (Christiansburg) added 11 points and four assists for Emory & Henry (12-11, 12-7).
Chrissy Burghardt scored 22 points to lead W&L (5-18, 3-17).
Guilford 83, Hollins 69: Laura Haynes scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Quakers past the hosts in an ODAC game.
Marisa Preimats and Bari Nixon added 14 points each for Guilford (17-6, 14-6), which forced 32 turnovers. Amy Worley (Blacksburg) led Hollins (1-22, 0-19) with 26 points and 15 rebounds. Angie Johnson (James River) contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds.
