Miss Sarah Leigh Tanner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Russell Tanner, of Madison County, and Mr. Daniel Lee Board, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Lee Board, Sr., of Floyd County, were united in marriage on December 30, 1995. The Rev. Tommy Palmer performed the double-ring ceremony at 5:30 in the afternoon at Thoroughfare Bible Church, Madison.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a floor length, white gown that featured a jeweled neckline with long illusion sleeves. The elongated bodice was delicately adorned with venise lace leaves. The circular skirt of multi-layers of tulle had a sweep train. The finger-tip veil fell from the headband of venise lace appliques added to the base of the veil by the mother of the bride. She carried a bouquet of winter white and champagne roses.
Mrs. Vicki Tanner Cash, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridal attendants were Mrs. Lacy Ann Henshaw, cousin of the bride; Mrs. Deanne McGhee and Mrs. Beth Brooks, friends of the bride. Miss Sara Beth Marr, cousin of the bride, served as flowergirl.
Mr. Daniel Lee Board, Sr., father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Stephen Hartley and Mr. Kevin Lee, friends of the groom; Mr. Kevin Cash, brother-in-law of the bride; Mr. Jamey Tanner, brother of the bride. Master Tu cker Ford, cousin of the bride, served as ringbearer. The program attendant was Kelly Yeatts, cousin of the groom. The guestbook attendant was Miss Krista Oyler, friend of the couple.
The bride is a graduate of Madison County High School and Bridgewater College. She is a teacher with the Augusta County Public School system. The groom graduated from Floyd County High School and Bridgewater College. He received a Master's Degree from Radford University and is employed as a police officer with the Albemarle County Police Department.
The rehearsal dinner and the reception were held in the Aberdeen Barn in Culpeper.
After a honeymoon trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple now resides in Charlottesville. Dalton-Eames

Flower girls were Katie Eames and Molly Eames, nieces of the bride. Ring bearers were Cameron Dalton and Russ Dalton, nephews of the groom. Acolytes were Tim Taylor, cousin of the bride and Mike Mabe, friend of the groom. Guestbook attendant was Christy Hodges, cousin of the bride. The wedding was directed by Gladys Taylor, aunt of the bride.
A program of music was provided by Ronda Vanover, pianist, and soloist Cheryl Eames and Melissa Eames, sisters-in-law of the bride, and Beth Dalton and Kathy Dalton, sisters-in-law of the groom.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Lee Eames, Sr. of Rocky Mount, is a graduate of Franklin Co. High School and received her B.S. degree from Bluefield College and her Master's degree from V.P.I. & S.U. She is employed with the Roanoke City Schools. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. James P. Dalton of Salem, is a graduate of Salem High School, Va. Western Community College, and Cardinal Criminal Justice Academy. He is a police officer in the Roanoke Valley.
Following a southern wedding trip, the couple will reside in Roanoke, Va. Downey-Austin

Maid of honor was Heather West of Blacksburg; and matron of honor was Mary Sifers of Salem. Bridesmaids were Julie Welch of New Castle, and Regeana Sandidge of Roanoke, sister of the groom.
Best man was Dr. David Lawson of Lynchburg. The groomsmen were Jeff Wheeler and Kevin Knight, both of Roanoke; and Kerry Lee of Vinton, brother of the groom.
Flower girls were Victoria Lee, daughter of the groom, Kandyce and Chelsea Sherman, nieces of the bride, all of Roanoke; and ringbearer was Mi chael Allmendinger, cousin of the bride, of Boyertown, Pa.

The bride was escorted to the alter by her father. She wore an elegant gown of satin by Mori Lee from Sa I Do Bridal. The fitted bodice was heavily embellished with pearls and sequins. The leg of mutton sleeves were beautifully detailed in matching lace and pearls. The full skirt extended into a cathedral train which was enhances with cut-outs embellished in pearls. The brides headpiece and bouquet were fashioned by the bride and her mother, as well as the attendants dresses and flowers.
Wedding music was provided by Ronn Lowe, organist; Dr. Erma Rose, pianist; Mark Mitchell, trumpeter; and soloists, JoEllen Famularo and Skip Brown.
A reception was held at Taylor Masonic Lodge, Salem. Following a honeymoon trip to Hilton Head, the couple will reside in Roanoke.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert L. Sherman and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Greenawalt, all of New Castle. She is a graduate of Craig County High School and Ferrum College. She is employed as Assistant Database Administrator at Moore's Executive Office of Roanoke.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Maurice Vaughan, Jr., of Galax. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Hattie Sue Catron and the late Roby E. Catron of Galax and Mr. and Mrs. Freeman M. Vaughan, also of Galax.
The bridegroom is the son of Ms. Sandra Oldham of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Oldham, also of Greensboro, North Carolina.
A program of wedding music was presented by a string quartet and tenor vocalist from the North Carolina School of The Arts.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of white alencon lace embroidered with pearls. The fitted sheath featured an off the shoulder neckline with long fitted sleeve. An attached chapel train of diamond voile illusion was outlined with alencon lace. The veil of diamond voile illusion was held by a headband of white silk shantung rosebuds and matching alencon lace. She carried a cascade of brid al white roses, lilies and babies breath with satin streamers.
Mrs. Felicia V. Shields, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ms. Tracy Bennett of New York City, New York, Ms. Wendy Turney of Oakwood, Georgia, Mrs. Cherie Downey of Galax, Virginia, Mrs. Michelle King of Galax, Virginia, and Mrs. Gina Oldham, sister-in-law of the groom, of Cordova, Tennessee.
Mr. Billy Oldham, father of the groom, was his son's best man. Groomsmen were Scott Shields, brother-in-law of the bride, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Tim Isom of Charlotte, North Carolina, Doug Oldham, brother of the groom, of Cordova, Tennessee, Kenny True of Greensboro, North Carolina, Davy Nodine of Lewisville, North Carolina, and Jim Wilson of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Magnolia Room.
The bride is vice-president in charge of retail sales at Maurice Vaughan, Inc., in Galax, Virginia. The bridegroom is in management at Flow Motors in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Lori Anne Martin and Peter Daniel Ritenour were united in marriage during a candlelight ceremony on February 10, 1996, at 6:30 in the evening. The ceremony was held at Enon Baptist Church in Roanoke by Pastor Mark Washington. The reception immediately followed in Taylor Hall at the church.
The bride was given in marriage by Walter Percey Obenshain, grandfather of the bride. Lisa Martin, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Robin Smiley, sister of the bride, Kim Dillon, friend of the bride, and Michele Fizer, friend of the bride. The maid of honor and bridesmaids all wore black off the shoulder evening gowns. They carried bouquets of red California roses, white mums, freesia, and the star of Bethlehem flower. The flower girl, Renee Smiley, wore a white satin dress and carried a basket of red rose petals.
The bride wore a gown of white duchess satin with off the shoulder scooped neckline. The straight skirt was edged in wide border of alencon lace. The detachable cathedral train was adorned with scattered lace appliques of alencon. The headpiece was a beaded and pearled headband with attached two tier veil of illusion. The bride carried a bouquet of red Ecuador roses, stephanotis, white orchids and mums.
The groom wore black tails and white stained glass vest and bow tie. The best man and all groomsmen wore black tuxedos with black stained glass vest and bow tie. The best man was Daniel Ritenour, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Robert Dorton, Robert Cook and Robert Wilkes, all friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Dylan Meador, godchild of the bride and groom.
The newlyweds plan to live in Roanoke after the wedding trip to Disney World and a cruise to the Bahamas.
The couple would like to thank their family and friends for sharing the happiest day of their life.
