NAMES ON CAMPUS

Reginald Shareef has been named Radford University's Affirmative Action Officer. He will serve as a conflict mediator on employment related issues and will monitor minority recruitment.

Shareef is an associate professor of political science and public administration at Radford. He received a Ph.D. in public administration and policy from Virginia Tech.

Carla Sue Parcell is one of 20 students to be selected a 1995-96 Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges. Parcell, of Narrows, is a student at National Business College in Roanoke. She is working towards a professional secretarial-medical associate's degree. She is expected to graduate in May and will begin classes that will lead to a bachelor's degree in business management.

She is the daughter of Eric and Betty Parcell.

Drema Broadwell of Pembroke is a recipient of the Joseph E. Hurn Scholarship at National Business College. The award goes to students who have completed 48 credit hours and maintain a 3.0 grade point average or better.

Maria Rebholz of Shawsville is a recipient of the Honors Scholarship at National Business College. The award goes to first-year, full-time students who maintain a 3.0 grade point average or better.

Kimberly D. Mattox is one of 22 students at Lees-McRae College in North Carolina to be selected to the 1996 Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and College. She is the daughter of James and Nancy Mattox of Christiansburg.

Jabu Thabede of Blacksburg is among the students who are currently publishing "the lighthouse," the literary magazine of Guilford College. Thabede is a junior at the college, majoring in chemistry. He is the son of Reginald and Jacobeth Thabede of Blacksburg.
