Fourth-seeded Patrick County upset top-seeded Fieldale-Collinsville 52-50 on Corey Reynolds' buzzer-beating 3-pointer Thursday night to advance to the Piedmont District final in Bassett.
The Cougars will take on Laurel Park on Saturday at Bassett. The Cavaliers are assured a berth in the regional tournament by virtue of winning the regular-season title.
Laurel Park 71, Magna Vista 62 The sixth-seeded Lancers defeated the second-seeded Warriors to advance to the final in Bassett.
Three Rivers
Giles 56, Radford 48: The Spartans needed a strong first quarter to make the difference in their semifinal victory over the Bobcats at Blacksburg High School.
Giles will meet top-seeded Floyd County at 8 p.m. Friday at Blacksburg for the title.
Floyd County 78, Auburn 43: The Buffaloes used a balanced attack to defeat the Eagles in a semifinal at Blacksburg High School.

Bath County 70, Craig County 43: In Hot Springs, the Chargers (17-3) bolted to a 16-8 lead and left the Rockets (2-15) in their tracks in a quarterfinal matchup to earn a home game with James River at 7:30 tonight.
James River 71, Covington 65: The Knights (11-9) pulled out a victory over the Cougars (12-9) in Covington. The Cougars were without leading scorer Dusty Roman and fellow starter Cory Whittaker, who were suspended early Thursday for disciplinary reasons.
Parry McCluer 72, Highland 46: The Fighting Blues (14-6) scored 18 points in all four quarters and blew past the Rams (8-11) in a quarterfinal in Buena Vista.

George Wythe 67, Castlewood 66: Justin Bourne hit a running jump shot with two seconds left to give the Maroons (19-4) a victory over the Blue Devils (13-8) in Marion Wythe advances to the championship game at 8 p.m. today against Lebanon, a 74-65 winner over Holston.

Liberty 78, Buckingham County 58: The Minutemen (20-0), the No.1 team in the Associated Press Group AA poll, remained undefeated by drilling the Knights (11-11) in a semifinal in Lynchburg.
