Sports car exhibit
The Virginia Museum of Transportation will present an exhibit of British sports cars from March 2-10. Crumpets and tea will be served March 2-3 from 2-4 p.m.
The exhibit will include MGs, Jaguars, Morgans, Triumphs and a Sunbeam Tiger.
The museum is located at 303 Norfolk Ave., Roanoke. Call 342-5670.
Art collection
The Art Museum of Western Virginia will present the Walter O. Evans Collection of African American Art from April 5-June 23.
Volunteer tour guides are needed to lead school and community groups through the exhibit.
Requirements include attendance at training sessions on March 7 and 28 from 7-9 p.m. in the museum's lecture hall, 20 E. Church Ave., second floor) and April 9 or 13 from 10 a.m.-noon in the first floor galleries.

Student scholarships
Roanoke Festival in the Park is awarding three scholarships to graduating high school seniors or college freshmen (whose parents' permanent residence in within a 100-mile radius of Roanoke) who are planning studies in music, dance, theater, writing, painting, drawing and sculpture.
Application are available through area high schools and colleges or by calling 342-2640. Application deadline is April 15.
