Tina Marie McConnell and Gregory Allen Childress were married Saturday, November 11, 1995 in Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Reverend Mitchell Luckie officiating. The reception was held in the church fellowship hall.
Matron of honor was Linda Hodges of Vinton, friend. The bridesmaids were Ammie Moore of Glasgow, friend; Deborah Teaford of Fincastle, cousin; and Julie Lemon of Newport, cousin.
The best man was Thomas Childress of Buchanan, father of the groom. The ushers were Freddie Martin of Buchanan, friend; Louis Saville of Eagle Rock, friend; and Rodney Moore of Fredricksburg, friend. The guestbook attendants were Beth Lemon and Betty Saville.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father, and given in marriage by her parents.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Wayne McConnell of Fincastle. She is a graduate of James River High School in Buchanan and E.C.P.I. in Roanoke. She is employed by the Council of Community Services.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Childress of Buchanan. He is a graduate of James River High School in Buchanan. He is employed by Salem Welding, Inc.
The newlywed will live in Buchanan, after their wedding trip to the Carolinas'.
DiCarlo-Cox
Diana H. Cox and David DiCarlo were married February 17, 1996 in Parkway Wesleyan. The officiating clergyman was Pastor John Ott. The reception was held at the Vinton Moose Lodge #1121.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her six year old son, Andrew L. Cox. The matron of honor was Christy O'Conner, best friend. The bridesmaids were Sharon Earlenbaugh and Sanaa Karkenny, friends. The flowergirl was Stephanie Earlenbaugh, friend.
The best man was John DiCarlo, brother. The ushers were Tony Aquaviva, best friend, Shabo Karkenny and Lee Daniel, friends. Ringbearer was Jordan Allen.

The bride's gown was vintage '20's lace over chiffon with a beaded bodice. She carried a bouquet of purple and ivory daisies, english ivy, purple magnolias and multi-colored ting.

The bridegroom, son of Anna DiCarlo and the late Joseph DiCarlo of University Park, Maryland, is a graduate of Albert Einstein Senior High, Kensington, Md. and attended Montgomery College. Lisa B. Stocklan and Mark A. Harrison were married on December 2, 1995 at Bristow Manor Golf Club in Manassas, Va.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. Stephen Stocklan of Somersworth, New Hampshire, and Mrs. Sandra Stocklan of Newton, New Hampshire. She is a 1979 graduate of Dover High School and a 1983 graduate of the University of New Hampshire. For the past eleven years she h as been employed as the Communications Director for U.S. Senator Bob Smith in Washington, D.C.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Harrison of Roanoke, Virginia. He is a 1984 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic University and is currently employed as the Marketing Representative for ALEX-Alternative Experts, Inc. in Chantilly, Virginia.

Ushers were Brian Crockett, Dan Dew and Sam Hampton, friends of the groom. Ringbearer was Johnathan Curtis Miller, nephew of the groom. Scripture reading was by Steve Gearhart. The marriage of Andrea Joy Shreeman and Charles Ward Mastin took place Thanksgiving evening at the home of Mr. & Mrs. William McClain of Atlanta, Georgia. Rabbi Fred V. Davidow officiated. Micro Pete Mastin, 15 day old nephew of the couple served as best man. G-Ma McClain was the matron of honor. Andy is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Alan Shreeman of Roanoke, Virginia. Chas is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Peter Mastin of Broad Run, Virginia. The couple resides in New York City.

Auvray Daniel ``Dani'' Kirk and Jeffrey Scott Roupe were married February 10, 1996, in Salem Baptist Church with Reverend Lew Bennett officiating. The reception was held at Roanoke County Women's Club. Bridesmaids were Megan Dix of Salem, Tracy Johnson of Salem, Laura Pruitt of Winston-Salem, N. C., Kim Wray of Roanoke, all friends of the bride. Flower girl was Katie Keith of Salem, cousin. Denver ``Doc'' Roupe, father of groom, served as best man. Ushers were Tim Roupe of Salem, brother of groom, Chris Jones of Roanoke, cousin, Rich Bloom of Roanoke, friend. Ringer bearer was Nathan Keith, cousin of bride. Melissa Ward of Salem attended the guestbook. The bride wore a full length satin gown overlayed with lace and pearls. She carried a cascading bouquet of pine and ivy with white roses and Easter lilies. The bride is the daughter of Auvray and William Shumate of Salem and Gerald ``Jerry'' Kirk, Sr. of Moneta. She graduated from Salem High School and is attending Va. Western Community College. She is employed by Jerry Kirk and Associates. The groom is the son of ``Doc'' and Norma Roupe of Salem. He graduated from Roanoke College (1995) and is employed by J. Riggins. The newlyweds will live in Salem after a wedding trip to Walt Disney World, Florida.
