RESIDENTS TO GET SNEAK PREVIEW OF TOWN PLAN

The latest version of the 1996 Blacksburg Comprehensive Plan will be available for viewing this week.

From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, town residents can get a "sneak preview" of the plans at the Lyric Theater on College Avenue.

The comprehensive plan incorporates a 50-year vision of the town, from transportation to development issues. Municipalities are required to review their comprehensive plans every five years.

Town Council will hold a public hearing on the plan in June.
