MIKE ALLRED of N.A. Williams Co. was named salesperson of the year for Plasti-Kote Co. Inc. at the company's annual sales meeting in Las Vegas.

Allred received a crystal cup and a check from Plasti-Kote president, Pat McKenna.

Allred, who lives in Buchanan, covers the mid-South for the Georgia-based company.

BRUCE CODY, president of Architectural Wood in Roanoke, received the 1995 Virginia Society of the American Institute of Architecture's Society Honors. This award is presented to groups or individuals outside the society who have made significant contributions to architecture in Virginia.

SUZANNE BACCI has been appointed director of rehabilitation for the Kirby Group Inc.

Bacci received her degree in occupational therapy from the University of Florida. Her specialties are general orthopedics, hand rehabilitation and treatment of neurologically impaired clientele.

PATRICIA S. HALL of Roanoke was inducted into the Virginia Association of Life Underwriters Hall of Fame.

Hall was selected from among more than 3,000 members in the state and is the second female recipient since the award's inception in 1968.

HALL ASSOCIATES INC.'S auction division recently earned first-place advertising honors in four categories at the 38th annual Virginia Auctioneers Association Convention. The awards were in the commercial and industrial two-three color, real estate four-color, estate four-color and audio-visual categories.

THOMAS W. CRAWFORD, formerly of Roanoke, has been named president and chief executive officer of Prudential Property and Casualty Co., based in Newark, N.J. Before assuming his new position, Crawford was president and chief executive officer of Southern Heritage Co. in Atlanta, a company he organized and founded in 1984.

CARA SISSON, formerly of Roanoke, has been named executive director of Carolinas Concert Association in Charlotte, N.C. After her graduation from Hollins College in 1989, Sisson worked for several cultural organizations in the Roanoke Valley, including Mill Mountain Theatre, The Art Museum of Western Virginia and as an assistant to Victoria Bond, former music director and conductor of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra.

THE BLUE RIDGE CHAPTER OF CHARTERED PROPERTY CASUALTY UNDERWRITERS has conferred the CPCU designations upon 19 underwriters in Roanoke. LITTLEPAGE BOLLING BRYANT, a sales representative for Birmingham, Ala.-based Abana Pharmaceuticals, has received the company's Best Attitude and Rookie of the Year awards. Bryant has been in sales for seven years and with Abana for 11/2 years in its Blue Ridge region.

QUALITY COFFEE CO. has broken ground for its new headquarters at 1512 Hollins Road. The company, which provides services for restaurants, hotels, convenience stores and offices, will move from the Roanoke Industrial Center where it has rented space for 15 years.

THE STATE BOARD OF ACCOUNTANCY at the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation has announced the names of Roanoke-area residents who passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountants examination held in November.

Those from Roanoke are: Brad E. Brewer, Jean L. Brown, Cynthia A. Combs, Lenora K. Dampeer, Walter L. Daniel Jr., Catherine L. Ryan, Joseph E. Schaben, Richard D. Taylor, Rosemary R. Trussell and Brenda S. Van Dam.

Those from Salem are: Marvin A. Cline, Douglas C. Duffy and Stephanie F. Henning.

Those from Vinton are: Carmen Agra-Boitnott and Todd B. Lenart.

DOLORES FARMER, vice president of Owens & Co., a Roanoke real estate brokerage firm, recently was awarded the certified real estate brokerage manager designation by the Real Estate Brokerage Managers Council.

JOHN MURPHY, a community planning technician with Roanoke County, and ROBERT LESLIE SR., chairman of the Botetourt County Planning Commission, were among those graduating from the Virginia Certified Planning Commissioners' program in December. The program is sponsored by the community resource development arm of the Extension Service at Virginia Tech and by the Virginia Citizens' Planning Association.
