ROANOKE WOMAN ABDUCTED

A 36-year-old Roanoke woman told police she was abducted and robbed by an acquaintance and two men Tuesday night after the three picked her up at a bus stop and held her for nearly 10 hours.

Police said Angela Juanita Matthews told them she was waiting for a bus on Hershberger Road Northwest about 5 p.m. Tuesday. A woman she knows drove by with two men and offered her a ride to the grocery store. Instead, the three drove Matthews to a trailer park in the Hollins area.

Police said Matthews told them she was "intimidated into going into a trailer and not allowed to leave," according to a news release. She remained in the trailer until nearly 3 a.m. Wednesday. One of the men took her jacket, which contained $85. No arrests have been made.
