BOWMAN, Annie McPherson, (``Kyle''), 91, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 1, 1996. She was the beloved wife of Robert (Roscoe) Bowman for 71 years. She was born in Craig County to the late John McPherson and Sarah (Lizzie) McPherson. She was preceded in death by four sons, James, Carl, Nelson, Claud. She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Lema and Billy Leeder, Chesterfield, Deloris and Ray Price, New Castle, Anna and Robert Secrist, Roanoke, Sylvia and James Jeffries, Stewartsville; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kate Bowles, Blacksburg, Lucy Garman, Catawba. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 4, 1996, at Lotz Salem Chapel at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jesse Powell and the Rev. Elmer Clemons officiating. Dolinger, Marion; one sister, Vernie Roberts, Tazewell; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. DOBBINS, Ruth, 84, of 2715 Childress Road, Christiansburg, passed away Friday, March 1, 1996 at Wheatland Hills Retirement Center. She was the widow of George W. Dobbins. Surviving are sons and daughter-in-law, William ``Bill'' Dobbins, Christiansburg, Jerry L. and Jane Dobbins, Virginia Beach; one sister, Virginia Lawrence, Bowie, Md.; three granddaughters, Cheryl Hudgins, Christia nsburg, Leslie Dobbins, Shelby Dobbins, both of Virginia Beach; three great-grandsons; and many special nieces and nephews. FERREE, Evangeline Lynch Fisher, 49, of Salem, died Thursday, February 29, 1996, in Lewis-Gale Hospital. She was employed with Botetourt County Schools as a bus driver for over 20 years and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Roanoke. Her surviving family include her husband, Eddie Ray Ferree; sons, Walter Thomas Fisher, Jr. and his wife, Sharon, Tampa, Fla., a grandson, Alex Fisher William Scott Fisher, Troutville; a granddaughter, Andrea Lynn Fisher; one daughter and son-in-law, Evangeline M. and William Hopkins, Daleville; and two grandchildren expected in June; a special daughter-in-law, Michelle Cave, Roanoke; stepchildren, Suzanne Ferree, Norfolk, Christopher Ferree, Salem; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lotus and Reggie Ferris, Vinton, Sharon and Steve Thompson, Cleveland, Tenn. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 4, at 11 a.m. in Christ Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robin Henrickson officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. FLINT, Flossie Wilkerson, 87, of Roanoke, died Friday, March 1,1996. She was a native of West Virginia, and was preceded in death by a son, Richard A. Flint. Mrs. Flint was a member of First Baptist Church in Roanoke. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Bernard T. GUTHRIE, Lewis Junior, 61, of 1658 Old Mountain Road, Statesville, N.C., died Thursday, February 29, 1996 at Davis Community Hospital after an illness of one year. He was born in Boones Mill, Va. to the late Oscar L. Guthrie. Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Pole Guthrie; and a daughter, Larisa Jean Guthrie, both of Statesville. His mother, Mrs. Effie W. Guthrie of Boones Mill, Va. also survives. Mr. Guthrie was Shop Foreman for Boggs Motor Company of Statesville for 20 years before his disability retirement. He served in the U. S. Army and attended Beulah Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, March 4, 1996, at 2 p.m. at Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home in Statesville, N.C. HANNAH, Mary Daisy St. Clair, 71, of Chamblissburg, Va. died Thursday, February 29, 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Junior Hannah; two children, Betty Ann Joanas and Raymond D. Bane. INGRAM, Alexander F., ""Lightning"", 72, of Roanoke, died Thursday, February 29, 1996 at his home. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and retired from Norfolk Southern Corp. after 45 years of service. Mr. Ingram was a member of the Williamson Road Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander F. and Ruth H. Ingram; a brother, William Turner Ingram; and a daughter, Alelia Ann Ingram. KINGERY, Clyde Eldridge, 71, of Rt. 4, Rocky Mount, died Friday, March 1, 1996 at his residence. He was born February 7, 1925, a son of the late Eldridge and Callie Mills Kingery. Mr. Kingery was a veteran of WW II and served in Battery C of the 567th Anti-Aircraft Artillery, Automatic Weapons Betallion in France, Germany, and Central Europe. He was preceded in death by a son, Dexter Lynn Kingery. Surviving are his wife, Opal Altice Kingery; two daughters and sons-in-law, Hal and Susan Halliburton, Stuart, Fla., Lee and Sarah Dozema, Kalamazoo, Mich.; one son, Roger Lee Kingery, Roanoke; seven grandchildren, Howard Clifton (Jody) Crotts III, Kalamazoo, Mich., Dexter Lynn Kingery Jr., Salem, David Dozema, Jenny Dozema, Sara Sue Dozema, Leif Dozema, all of Kalamazoo, Mich.; and special granddaughter, Jamie Birlon; two brothers, Berlon Kingery, and Howard Kingery, both of Rocky Mount; and a special friend, H.W. MASTERSTAFF, Lillie M., 65, of Newport News, went to her eternal rest on Friday, March 1, 1996. A native of Montvale, she had been a Peninsula resident since 1949. Mrs. Masterstaff retired as owner and operator of Lil's Restaurant in Newport News in 1981 after 22 years o f service. Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia L. Masterstaff, and son-in-law, Richard A. Muhich of Newport News; two sisters, Pearl A. Potter and Elsie A. Scott, both of Roanoke; her brother, Ezra Ayers of Roanoke; her devoted companion of many years, Monroe Clayton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was born in Pulaski on April 25, 1931, and was the daughter of the late George Rigney and Mary Thomas Rigney. She was a member of the Pulaski Seventh Day Adventist Church.
