BRADENTON, Fla. - A series of winter frosts will mean a 5 percent increase in the wholesale price of juice starting March 31, Tropicana Dole Beverages North America said Tuesday.
The rise, an average of 10 cents a half-gallon, will affect orange and grapefruit juices, apple juice and blends.
The company said the three freezes or frosts that hit the Florida citrus industry in December, January and February reduced the available crop. Tropicana Dole is a division of Montreal-based Seagram Co. -Associated Press Litton unit scuttles project, 5 jobs
