A 16-year-old Patrick Henry High School student was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon in Southwest Roanoke as he drove home from school. The teen-ager was not injured.
About 3:45 p.m., as the boy was stopped at a red light at 13th Street and Patterson Avenue, a man walked up to the car, pointed a handgun at the window and demanded money and the car's compact disc player, police said.
The boy handed the robber the compact disc player, which contained a compact disc, and the robber walked away, police said. The stolen equipment was valued at $122.
