Jack Leggett earned his 500th career coaching victory as Clemson beat Virginia Tech 8-4 in college baseball Friday.
Sean Hummel (1-1) took the loss for Virginia Tech (4-3). The Hokies were led by Kevin Barker, who had two hits, including a triple.
Leggett's all-time record is 500-321. He's now 123-34 in more than two seasons at Clemson, which is 12-2 this season and has won 11 in a row. - Associated Press
