TECH GAME TELEVISED

Virginia Tech's first-round game in the NCAA men's basketball tournament will be one of the regional telecasts being carried by WDBJ (Channel 7) in Roanoke.

The Hokies face Wisconsin-Green Bay at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Reunion Arena in Dallas.

WDBJ's coverage begins at noon Thursday with top-seeded Kentucky facing San Jose State.

The evening session Thursday features Virginia Commonwealth against Mississippi State at 7:30 p.m. and Clemson against Georgia at 10 p.m.

Friday's televised coverage also begins at noon, with Georgetown facing Mississippi Valley State.

Other games Friday are: Santa Clara vs. Maryland, 2:30 p.m.; Wake Forest vs. Northeast Louisiana, 7:30 p.m.; and North Carolina vs. New Orleans, 9:50 p.m.
