A portion of Interstate 95 briefly resembled a cat box Wednesday after a truck spilled about 1,000 pounds of cat litter.
A northbound tractor-trailer hauling the cat litter rear-ended another truck about 7:30 p.m., causing the spill just south of Fredericksburg and slightly injuring the litter truck's driver, said Virginia State Police spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell. The northbound lanes were closed for about an hour and a half, she said.
About a foot of litter covered the road in some spots, she said.
