TEEN-AGER HIT BY TRUCK, DIES

A Covington teen-ager was killed Wednesday afternoon when he rode his bicycle into the path of a pickup, state police said.

Glenn Franklin Rudd, 14, pulled out of a private driveway and onto Valley Ridge Road about 4:30. He was struck by the pickup and died at the scene.

Rudd lived only a couple of hundred feet from the site.

No charges have been filed against the driver.
