The Missionary District Bible School Convention of Southwest Virginia will hold its annual session Friday and Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church in Salem. The Rev. Herman Word Sr., pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, will deliver the annual sermon on Saturday.
Promise Keepers, a national Christian men's movement to promote personal responsibiltiy in work and family, will sponsor a gathering Saturday from 9 until 11 a.m. OUTREACH Salem Baptist Church has begun a missionary partnership with Medford Community Baptist Church in inner-city Medford, N.J. On June 23, members of the Salem church plan to replace a roof on the church that serves a low-income neighborhood. The Salem members also will assist the church with programs and other repairs.
