Well, it's official. Sam Giles and Mark Nelson are back together at WROV-FM a month after being replaced in their morning show time slot by the syndicated ``John Boy and Billy Big Show.''
But Sam and Mark fans shouldn't start popping the champagne just yet. The popular pair isn't returning to its morning hours. The two will be reunited in the afternoons, from 2 to 5, said WROV station manager Randy Graham. Their first show back together was Thursday.
John Boy and Billy will remain on the air in the mornings.
The afternoon spot has been occupied by Sam Giles alone since the ``John Boy and Billy Big Show'' out of Charlotte replaced the old ``Morning Show'' on Feb. 22. Mark Nelson had continued doing news in the mornings.
Graham said Nelson will continue to do news in the morning, but now he will join Giles in the afternoons. The move by WROV was in part a reaction to the public outcry that followed the radio station's switch to John Boy and Billy, Graham said.
