Authorities were still waiting Thursday for an autopsy on a 45-year-old Radford woman killed in an accident near here Sunday night, to see if there was some medical reason why her car veered off the road and wrecked.
Carolyn Agee Bower was the driver of the 1985 Ford making a right turn Sunday from Virginia 643 onto Virginia 807. Trooper Brian Owen said she failed to negotiate the turn, and the car ran off the left side of the road and into a culvert.
Two passengers in the car, Vivian M. Brown, 54, and Barbara G. Myers, 34, both of Dublin, sustained minor injuries in the wreck. The accident happened at about 7:45 p.m.
Bower was a Radford native and had a daughter.
A memorial service for her was held Thursday at Central United Methodist Church in Radford. In lieu of flowers, her family asked that donations be made to charities.
