The Roanoke Express will open the Riley Cup playoffs on Wednesday, March 27, at either Charlotte or Richmond. The team's first home game of the playoffs will be Tuesday, April 2. The first-round series is in a best-of-five games format.
If the Express finishes in fourth place in the East Coast Hockey League's East Division, it will visit Charlotte on March 27 at 7:05 p.m. and March 30 at 7:35 p.m. Games 3 and 4 (if necessary) will be in Roanoke on April 2 and April 4 at 7 p.m. A fifth game would be played at Charlotte on April 5 at 7:35 p.m.
If the Express finishes fifth, it will play at Richmond on March 27 at 7:05 p.m. and March 29 at 7:35 p.m. Games 3 and 4 (if necessary) will be in Roanoke on April 2 and April 4 at 7 p.m. A fifth game would be played at Charlotte on April 5 at 7:35 p.m.
