ROANOKE REGIONAL ECONOMIC INDICATORS

Travel in the Blue Ridge Parkway's Roanoke district recovered last month from the traffic-halting snows of January.

Parkway officials counted 52,825 vehicles entering the parkway in the district in February, up 68.9 percent from 31,270 the prior month and 62.6 percent from 32,486 in February 1995. Most - 28,057 - entered from Virginia 24 east of Vinton.
