Bunnell-Patrick
Jill Nicole Patrick and James E. Bunnell, Jr., were united in marriage in a double-ring ceremony September 30, 1995, at Bayside Presbyterian Church, Virginia Beach, Va. Dr. Richard Keever officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Sharon Campbell of Altamonte Springs, Fla., formerly of Roanoke, and Mr. Jerry Wayne Patrick of Saltville, Va. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Bunnell of Burke, Va.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and her stepfather, Lewis Campbell. Suzanne DeBerry of Christiansburg, Va., friend of the bride, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Holdren of Roanoke, Andrea Vess of Roanoke, and Karen Bunnell, sister of the groom of Virginia Beach, Va. Katie Norris of Roanoke, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. Charles Shelley of Charlotte, N. C., friend of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Michael McKnight of Winston-Salem, brother of the groom, John Bacon of Radford, Va., Christopher Ihle of Burke, Va., and Richard Higbie of Palm Bay, Fla. Dougl as Norris, Jr., of Roanoke, cousin of the bride, was usher. The reception was held at Tandom's Restaurant in Virginia Beach.
Following a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple reside in Charlotte, N. C.
Dodson-Allan
Patricia Kathleen Allan and E. Griffith Dodson III were married Saturday, March 30, in Covenant United Presbyterian Church. The reception was held at Whitford County Club, Exton, Pennsylvania. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Mason Allan, Wayne, Penn. She graduated from St. Francis Academy, Joliet, Ill. She received a Bachelor's degree from West Chester University and a Master's from Penn State University. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Griffith Dodson, Roanoke, Va. He graduated from Episcopal High School and attended the University of Virginia. The newlyweds will live in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, after a wedding trip to Nassau.
Jones-Longworth
Rudolph V. Jones, Jr. and Dawn E. Longworth were married on March 2, 1996 in West End Presbyterian Church. Reverend Henry Scoggins was the officiating clergyman. The reception was held at the church.
Anna Spangler-Gill, cousin, served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Sharan L. Gore, sister; Louise R. Longworth, sister-in-law; Nancy Young-Reid, ``friend''-cousin by marriage; and Cheryl L. Quick, sister of the groom. Carly Amanda Longworth, niece of the bride, was the flowergirl. Lon R. Reid, cousin of the bride, served as best man. The ushers were William W. Lon gworth, II, bride's brother; J. Timothy Gill, ``friend''-cousin by marriage; and T. Thomas Shannon, cousin of the bride. The ringbearer was Joshua Devin Longworth, nephew of the bride. The candlelighters were T. Thomas Shannon and the guestbook was attended by Eva S. Crowder.
The bride wore her mother's wedding gown, which is 40 years old. It was a formal gown of Imported Chantilly Lace over Dutchess Satin fashioned with a sculptured bodice, tulle yoke with mandarin collar and a full gathered skirt with a cascade back ruffle extending through the chapel train. She carried a cascade with Star Gazer Lilies, Freesia, White Roses and Alstroemeria.
The bride is a daughter of William W. and Eva K. Longworth of Roanoke, Va. She is a graduate of William Fleming High School in Roanoke, and attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. She is employed by Philip H. Lemon, Attorney. The groom is a son of Rudolph V. Jones, Sr., and Barbara Jones of Moneta, Va. He is a graduate of Staunton River High School and is employed by Magic City Sprinkler.
Following their wedding trip to Natural Bridge, the newlyweds reside in Roanoke City.
Weiner-Baker
Jennifer Baker and Glenn Weiner were married March 30, 1996. The officiating clergyman was Rabbi Jerome Fox. The reception was held at Sheraton Inn, Airport.
The maid of honor was Debra Baker, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Jodie Schwarz, cousin of the bride; and Danielle Aitken, friend.
The best man was Scott Waterman. The ushers were Jeff Havsy and Todd Hecht. The guestbook was attended by Janie Irons.
The bride is the daughter of Arnold and Carole Baker of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Cave Spring High School, Roanoke College, and the University of Virginia. She is employed by Belmont Behavioral Health Treatment Center, Philadelphia.
The groom is the son of Ruth G. Weiner and the late Edgar Weiner of Willow Grove, Pa. He is a graduate of Amherst College and the University of Virginia Law School He is employed by the firm of Schnader, Harrison, Segal, and Lewis, Philadelphia, Pa.
The newlyweds will live in Philadelphia, Pa., after their wedding trip to Jamaica.
