GM faces possibility of 2nd crippling strike
KETTERING, Ohio - A union local told General Motors Corp. on Monday that workers at two suspension plants are prepared to strike next week if a contract dispute is not resolved.
Less than two weeks ago, the nation's top automaker and the United Auto Workers settled an 18-day strike at two brake plants in Dayton that crippled production at 26 of GM's 29 North American assembly plants.
Local 755 of the International Union of Electronics Workers, which represents 2,700 workers at two GM Delphi Chassis plants in this Dayton suburb, has authorized a strike for 12:01 a.m. April 11, said union spokesman Ron Gilvin. Neither Gilvin nor GM spokesman Jim Hagedon would identify the issues in dispute.
The Delphi plants produce shock absorbers, strut mounts and other suspension parts used on a wide variety of GM and other vehicles, Hagedon said. -Associated Press CMT adding NBS to its logo in ads

CMT has been a member of National Buying Syndicate, a sporting goods buying cooperative, for 14 years. That 160-member syndicate has formed a national retail group, Nation's Best Sports.
A national print and television ad campaign will promote the change. -Staff report Coal output rises
