REDSKINS MAKE MCCALL PUBLIC RELATIONS DIRECTOR

Mike McCall, a former sports information director at Roanoke College, has been promoted to director of public relations by the Washington Redskins. McCall has spent seven seasons with the club as media relations director.

McCall, a Notre Dame graduate in his 10th year as an NFL publicist, replaces Rick Vaughn, who will become vice president of public relations for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, one of baseball's two expansion teams.

McCall is a resident of Berryville and member of the Clarke County School Board. The newest appointment to the Redskins' public relations staff is Reggie Saunders, a Towson State graduate who has worked for Jack Kent Cooke Inc. on public relations for the Redskins' new Maryland stadium project.
