An unidentified man was found dead in a trailer fire near Parrott early Wednesday, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office.
Capt. Mike Alderman said the trailer on Virginia 606 belonged to Belvie Christy Hamilton. Alderman could not positively identify the dead man - who was burned beyond recognition - until a report comes back from the medical examiner.
The Twin Community Volunteer Fire Department fought the blaze that gutted the trailer. A neighbor reported the fire about 2:30 a.m., Alderman said.
``At this point we don't suspect foul play; the fire started near a kerosene heater,'' Alderman said.
The man's body was found near the kerosene heater - the trailer's only source of heat.
The trailer did not have electricity, Alderman said, and Coleman lanterns served as lights.
