IN SCHOOL

REP. BOB GOODLATTE, R-Roanoke, recently announced the 1996 service academy nominees from the Sixth Congressional District. The students will compete for appointments to one of the service academies. The nominees are:

Gordon Lawson, son of Lewis and Rita Bishop of Roanoke and a student at Patrick Henry High School, has been nominated to the Naval Academy.

Christopher Bradley, son of Tom and Patricia Bradley and a graduate of Northside High School, has been nominated to the Naval Academy.

Michael Gates, son of Marshall and Sandy Gates of Troutville and a student at Lord Botetourt High School, has been nominated to the U.S. Military Academy.

Philip Buchy, son of Philip and Mary Buchy and a student at the U.S. Air Force Prep School, has been nominated to the Air Force Academy.

Garrett Lancaster, son of Garrett and Debbie Lancaster of Roanoke and a student at William Fleming High School, has been nominated to the Merchant Marine Academy.

Timothy Campbell, son of Mason and Peggy Campbell of Roanoke and a student at Northside High School, has been nominated to the Air Force Academy and the U.S. Military Academy.
