Actress Irene Ryan died in 1973, leaving her $1 million-plus estate for college scholarships.
More than 400 students have received Irene Ryan Scholarships since 1974, said spokesman Frank Liberman.
The 1996 scholarship winners will be announced at the Kennedy Center on April 21 as part of the American College Theatre Festival.
Ryan portrayed Daisy ``Granny'' Moses on the popular TV comedy from 1962 to 1971.
