MOORE, Georgie Crawford, 60, of Rt. 3, Ridgeway, died Monday, April 8, 1996 in Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County, Va. Mrs. Moore was born October 23, 1935 in Montgomery County, Va. to the late Willard W. Crawford and Nellie Adkins Crawford. She was a 1953 graduate of Christiansburg High School, and a charter member of Faith Temple Church of God, Ridgeway, Va., where she was a Sunday School teacher, a Youth Leader, president of the Ladies Ministries for several years, Director of the Food Bank Ministry and a member of the Young at Heart Club of the church. She retired from K-Mart after 19 years of service. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard L. Crawford and Norman E. Crawford. Survivors include her husband, James F. Moore, Sr., of the home; three sons, Roy A. Moore, Almagardo, New Mexico, James Frank Moore, Jr., Ridgeway, William R. (Billy) Moore, Martinsville; three sisters, Mrs. Oscar (Edith C.) Akers, Radford, Mrs. James (Nellie C.) Westmoreland, Axton, Mrs. Kirby (Mary C.) Phillips, Rocky Mount; one brother, James O. Crawford, Christiansburg; six grandchildren; one stepgrandson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 1996, at Faith Temple Church of God, Ridgeway, Va., with the Rev. Bruce Hagy, Kirby Phillips and Charles Tomlinson officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Burial Park. The body will be taken to Faith Temple Church of God 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at other times at the home and also at the home of her sister, Nellie C. Westmoreland, on State Route 644, Hobson Road, Axton, Va. Tomlinson Funeral Home, Ridgeway, Va., is in charge of arrangements.

OGDEN, Howard Raymond, (``Bill""), 67, of Radford, died Tuesday, April 9, 1996 at Radford Community Hospital. He was the son of Mrs. Hazel Stinnett Ogden and the late Howard R. Ogden, Sr., of Covington, Va. Bill was born in Covington, Va. on June 16, 1928. He attended schools in Covington and Phillips Business College in Lynchburg, graduating in December 1949. He worked as an accountant in Charlottesville until drafted by the U. S. Army. Bill trained at Camp Cooke, California, with the 40th Infantry Division and served in Japan and Korea. Upon returning home in 1952, Bill joined Leggett Department Stores. He worked as an assistant manager in the Covington and Wytheville, Virginia stores and managed stores in Ironton, Ohio, Lexington, Va., Radford, Va. and Cambridge, Maryland. He retired from Leggett in October 1989. Bill was an active member of the Presbyterian Church of Radford, where he served as an Elder. Howard Raymond Ogden, Jr. is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Lotts Ogden of Radford. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Hazel Stinnett Ogden of Clifton Forge; one daughter, Denise O. Gravley of Radford; two sons, William Randall (Randy) Ogden of Radford, Dr. Michael Wayne Ogden of Pfafftown, N.C.; one sister, Mrs. Pauline O. Claytor; and one brother, Mr. Roger Wayne Ogden, both of Covington, Va. He is also survived by three grandsons, Addison Gravley of Radford, Eric and Robert Ogden of Pfafftown, N.C. A memorial service will be held at the Presbyterian Church of Radford at 10 a.m. Friday, April 12, 1996, with the Rev. Joel Wright officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford. Those friends in Covington may visit with the family in the Fellowship Hall of the Edgemont Presbyterian Church at 2:30 p.m. Friday, followed by a graveside service at 4 p.m. in Alleghany Memorial Park, with Dr. William (Bill) Harris officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Endowment Fund of the Radford Presbyterian Church or the Building Fund of the Edgemore Presbyterian Church in Covington, Va. DeVilbiss Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
OVERSTREET, Harry Gordon, (``Bud""), 73, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, April 8, 1996, at his home. He was a member of the Light House Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Gordon and Mary Lucy Dooley Overstreet and a son, Melvin Harry Overstreet. Surviving are brothers, Clarence V. Overstreet, Bedford, Thomas A. Overstreet, Roanoke, Eddie J. Overstreet, Hardy; sisters, Nannie Niday, Bluefield, Va., Lucy Kingery, Roanoke, Frances Thibeau, Harrington, Maine, Pauline Craig, Lynchburg, Jerline Divers, Vinton. Funeral services will be at the Diamond Hill Union Church 2 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 1996 with the Rev. Everette Hutchison officiating. Interment will be in the Diamond Hill Cemetery. SHARP, Lillian Nadine Martin, 64, of Covington, died Monday, April 8, 1996, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital Rehabilitation Center, Roanoke. She was born April 9, 1931, in Roanoke, a daughter of the late Walter Lee land Lillian Wells Martin. Mrs. Sharp was employed as a presser for Halmode Apparel, Inc. in Covington. She was a member of the Persinger Memorial United Methodist Church, Covington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Beryl K. Sharp in 1986; a son, Jeffery A. Sharp in 1991; and also by two sisters, Miss Noveldene Martin and Mrs. Virginia Jamison. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jennifer Huffman of Eggleston; two sons and daughters-in-law, B. K. ``Kenny'' Sharp Jr. and Gala of Pembroke, and Walter C. and Arlene Sharp of Narrows; two granddaughters, Melissa Sharp and Deanna Martin; four grandsons, Kent and Ben Sharp, Dale and Brian Huffman; three special nieces, Bonnie Forbes of Covington, Sandra Lewis and Wanda Jones, both of Raleigh, N.C.; one nephew, Warren Jamison Jr. of Raleigh, N.C.; and several cousins and other relatives. The funeral service will be held at the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel in Covington at 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Shawn Wilburn officiating, assisted by the Rev. Kermit Meadows. Interment will be in the Sharp Family Cemetery in Frost, W.Va. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home, Covington.

SUMNER, James Carl, 81, of Christiansburg, died Tuesday, April 9, 1996, in the Virginia Veterans Care Center in Salem. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, as well as his wife, Nellie S. Sumner. He is survived by one daughter, Shelby Sumner; one grandson, Chris Sumner, both of Christiansburg; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11, at the Christiansburg Church of Christ conducted by Mr. Tom Hodge, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.

WILLIAMS, Frances Short, 81, of Eggleston, died Monday, April 8, 1996 in a Rich Creek Nursing Home. She was born September 10, 1914 at Ennis, W. Va., the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Bertha Ann Gusler Short. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Frederick Williams and was a member of the Bear Spring United Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Doris Ann and Kyle Mustard, Bear Spring; one sister, Mrs. Violet Keeney, Belle, W. Va.; four grandchildren, Kim Goddard and husband, Jim, Draper, Valerie Mustard, Kristin Mustard and Neal Mustard, all of Bear Spring; one great-granddaughter, Annie Goddard; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Bear Spring United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Patton, the Rev. Shahn Wilburn and the Rev. Kim Goddard officiating. WILLIAMS, Robert Daniel (``Bob''), 33, of Penhook, died Tuesday, April 9, 1996 following a courageous battle with AIDS. S urviving are his mother and stepfather, Cindy and Bernie Galvin, Penhook; father and stepmother, Don and Phyllis Williams, Rochester, N.Y.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, David and Sandy Williams, Michael Williams, all of Rochester, N.Y.; Donnie and Sharon Williams, Penhook; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Jeff Swart, Hudson, N.C., Jennifer and Morty Marlowe, Penhook; 13 stepbrothers and stepsisters; 6 nephews; 2 nieces; a special friend, Cindy Corman. Funeral services will be conducted from Penhook United Methodist Church, 2 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Betty Daniels Marshall officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Christian Church Cemetery. ZAPAR, Cornelia S., (``Connie""), 54, of Chesterfield, died at her residence, Tuesday, April 9, 1996. Connie was born in Lexington. She was a former teacher in the C hesterfield County School System, an Elder in the Chester Presbyterian Church and was the owner of Southern Charm. Survivors include her husband, Lou Zapar, of the home; son, Gregory S. Zapar of Virginia Beach; daughter, Virginia Anne Zapar of Blacksburg; her parents, W. Herman and Dorothy L. Straub; and a brother, William Lewis Straub, all of Lexington. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on April 12, 1996 in the Chester Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in the Timber Ridge ARP Cemetery in Lexington. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W.
