A Franklin County man was killed and five others were injured Wednesday evening in a crash in Botetourt County.
Kenneth Vaden, 38, of Boones Mill was traveling at high speed on the wrong side of Carvins Cove Road when his station wagon collided head-on with another car, a state police report said.
The collision occurred about a mile north of the Botetourt-Roanoke County line.
Vaden was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he died about 3 a.m.
The names and conditions of the other five victims were not available.
