CAMBRIA BAPTIST TO HOST 5 MISSIONARIES

SERVICES

* Cambria Baptist Church will host five missionaries who have served in Virginia, Michigan, Alaska, the Ivory Coast and Austria Sunday through Wednesday in a World Missions Conference. The times are 11 a.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday.

* Christiansburg's Holy Spirit Catholic Churchwill celebrate Mass at 5 p.m. today at Our Saviour Lutheran Church on Cambria Street. The readings will be Acts 2:42-47; 1 Peter 1:3-9; John 20:19-31. 382-8028.

* Blacksburg's St. Mary's Catholic Church on Harding Avenue will celebrate Mass at 5 p.m today and at 8:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Sunday. The readings will be Acts 2:42-47; Psalms 118:2-4, 13-15, 22-24; and John 20:19-31.

* Mountain View Wesleyan Church on Meadowbrook Drive in Blacksburg will have a revival at 7:30 p.m. today and Sunday with evangelist Tommy Underwood. 382-0311.

* East Radford Church of God will have a revival at 7 p.m. today and Sunday with evangelist Rick Hanley from Alexandria.

* The Metaphysical Chapel at Church and Lee streets in Blacksburg will host Dennis DeJianne, an acupuncturist, who will speak on "Nature's Nature" 7 p.m. Sunday. 951-4848.

* The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the New River Valley on Gladewood Drive in Blacksburg will host Katherine Soniat, who will read from her book of poems "A Shared Life," 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Larry Landrum will lead a round-table discussion on "Planning Our Fellowship's Future" at 9 a.m. 552-2717. The church will host Norman Grover, a Presbyterian minister and professor emeritus of religion and philosophy at Virginia Tech, 7:30 p.m. Thursday. He will speak on "Is the Existence of God a Scientific Question?" 552-8050.

* Oak Grove Church on Virginia 674 south of Christiansburg will have a revival Sunday through April 21, at 6 p.m. Sunday night and 7:30 p.m. during the week.

* Virginia Tech's Christian Science Organization is sponsoring a video lecture titled "The Ring of Truth," about the healing power of the Bible, on WTOB 7 p.m. Monday and on VTTV 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

* First Church of God on Roanoke Street in Blacksburg will have a revival at 7 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday. 552-3404.

* The congregation of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church in Blacksburg will honor its pastor, the Rev. Dr. Edward Scott, on Sunday. Scott is marking three years with the parish. Special services will begin at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. with music by Spirit of Agape and a choral group from First Baptist Church on West Street in Radford. Scott's work in the community also will be recognized at the Black Culture Center of Virginia Tech on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m.

* Zion Hill Baptist Church will have a spring revival at 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday with guest minister Joseph Keaton from Roanoke. 639-1938.

* Jim Daniel, a layman from Summerville, Ga., who despite being blind for the past 32 years has conducted evangelistic meetings nationwide, will preach at Grove United Methodist Church in Radford. Services will begin 11 a.m. April 21 and will continue nightly at 7:30 through the following Wednesday. Daniel also will address men's and women's groups and a luncheon at the Draper Valley Golf Club at 12:45 p.m. on April 22. 639-2807.

* Radford Congregational Holiness Church on Second and Denby streets will have a revival with evangelist Robert E. Mays April 21 through 26 at 7 p.m. 731-1831.

* Christian Growth Center on Electric Way in Christiansburg will have a discussion on sisterhood in the Lord April 27 at 9:30 a.m. 382-2908.

* Valley Harvest Ministries on U.S. 11 in Dublin will have services each Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. has a Overcomers Ministry meeting for people struggling with problems such as alcoholism, divorce, drugs and other issues. 674-4729.

* Fairlawn Baptist Church is celebrating its 50th anniversary through May 5. 639-5049.
