Davis twins birth
Cody Ryan and Cory Edward were born February 13, 1996, at 6:44 p.m. and 6:46 p.m. The boys weighed 2 lbs. 81/2 oz. and 14 inches long and 4 lbs. 11 oz. and 16 inches long. They were born at Virginia Baptist, Lynchburg, Va. P arents are Ron and Diane Davis. Grandparents are Bill and Frances Davis, Blacksburg, Va., and Bud and Carol Knowles, Rustburg, Va
Early birth
Thank heaven for little boys. Especially Mason Alex ander Early who was born on March 11, 1996 at 10:43 pm in Community Hospital. Mason weighed 8 lbs. 14 1/2 ozs. and was 21 inches long. He is the son of Mark and Rhonda Early of Roanoke. His grandparents are Earl and Beulah Gilliam of Buchanan, Va., and Ellis and June Early of Stickleyville, Va.

Gibson birth
Luke Douglas Gibson was born January 9, 1996 at 1:03 p.m. at Lewis Gale Hospital. He weighed 7 lbs. 7 ozs., and was 20 1/2 inches long. His parents are Dwayne and Susan Gibson. His grandparents are Julian and Carol Tinsley of Roanoke; and Robert and Laurel Gibson of Natural Bridge. The attending physicians were Dr. George W. Maxymiv and Dr. William J. Kagey
Lane birth
Annie Margaret Lane was born March 24, 1996 at 6:09 pm at Community Hospital. She weighed 6 lbs. and was 1 9 inches long. Her parents are Chris & Elaine Lane. She has a 4 year old sister, Brittany Lane. Her grandparents are Mr. & Mrs. Charles Zuro of Roanoke and Mr. & Mrs. William Lane of Clinton, Tn. A special thank you to attending physician, Dr. Kurt Stockstill and the nursing staff at Community Hospital.
Varney birth
Kay and Rodney Varney proudly announce the birth of their daughter, Sydney Ashton Varney. She was born at 9:25 a.m. on February 8, 1996 at Community Hospital. She weighed 5 lbs. 13 ozs., and was 191/2 inches long. Sydney's proud grandparents are Peggy and Bob Rash, and Dottie and Lannie Varney; great grandfather is P.L. David, all of Salem. A very special thank you to Dr. Gregory Hardee and the nursing staff. We also want to thank our families and friends for their love and support
Via birth
Dylan Wayne Via was born February 17, 1996 at 10:31 a.m. at Community Hospital. He weighed 5 lbs. 5 1/4 ozs., and was 19 1/4 inches long. His parents are Ed and Kim Via. He has two brothers, Joel Via and Noah Via. His grandparents are Bill and Iris Graham, and Tom and Gracie Via. The atten ding physician was Dr. Beth Collins
Wickham birth
Myles Logan Wickham was born on Febr uary 9, 1996 at 8:23 p.m. He weighed 8 lbs. 9 ozs., and was 21 inches long. His proud parents are James and Karen Wickham of Cloverdale. Myles also has an older brother, Scott, who is 10. Maternal grandparents are Eugene and Faye Kessler of Daleville. Paternal grandparents are Jim and Evelyn Wickham of Roanoke. Witt birth
David and Melanie Witt proudly announce the birth of their first baby, Jared Bradley Witt. He was born at Community Hospital on March 18, 1996 at 5:46 a.m. Jared weighed 6 lbs. 131/2 ozs., and was 20 inches long. His loving grandparents are Charles and Barbara Coughlin of Roanoke, and Roy D. and Brenda Witt of Hardy. He is blessed with great-grandparents, Erma Hinkle of Hines, W.Va., Masil and Elizabeth Coughlin of Rupert, W.Va., Roy J. and Irene Witt of Bluefield, W.Va., and Ervin and Francis Perry of Richmond, Va. He is also blessed with a great-great-grandmother, Kathryn Coughlin of Rupert, W.Va.

Craighead birth
Danielle Nicole Craighead was born on February 27, 1996 at 10:27 a.m. at Lewis-Gale Hospital. Her proud parents are Tim and Rissa Craighead of Callaway. Danielle weighed 9 lbs. 12 ozs., and was 22 inches long. Her loving grandparents are Wayne and Betty Blankenship, and James and Lilly Craighead, all of Callawy. Her great-grandparents are Ralph and Trudy Craighead, James E. (Buck) Renick and the late Helen S. Renick, Frances Blankenship and the late Marshall Blankenship, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnson Hardy. We would like to thank the wonderful and caring L&D staff and Dr. Mark Gustafon for helping us bring our bundle of joy into the world.
