A caller's description led Radford police to arrest two men and a woman in connection with car stereo thefts that occurred on three different streets early Sunday morning.
Capt. Gary Harmon said Landon Neil Semones, 18, formerly of Radford, and Robert Anthony Adkins, 19, each were charged with four counts of grand larceny. Both men live in Winston-Salem, N.C., Harmon said.
Police charged Cheryl Lee Wehunt, 21, also of Winston-Salem, with one count of conspiracy to commit grand larceny.
Harmon said a call came into police about a man who was walking through a parking lot with stereo equipment and later put it in a car. The caller gave police a description of the man, the car and its Florida license tags, Harmon said.
Police investigated and arrested the three suspects about 4:40 a.m. They recovered car stereo equipment and compact discs valued at $2,400, Harmon said.
The stereo equipment was taken from cars parked in the 1100 block of Lawrence Street, the 600 block of Calhoun Street and the 600 block of Howe Street.
As of Monday afternoon, all three suspects remained in Radford jail.
