GOODLATTE PLANS VETERANS CONFERENCE IN VINTON

Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Roanoke, will conduct a conference on veterans' issues Saturday in Vinton.

The conference runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Vinton Senior Center, 820 E. Washington Ave.

Speakers will include James Maye, director of the Department of Veterans Affairs regional office in Roanoke, and Leroy Gross, director of Veterans Integrated Service Network Six.

Goodlatte and John Presley, director of the Salem Veterans Affairs Medical Center, will join in a panel discussion.

Goodlatte is billing the conference as an opportunity for veterans to be updated on veterans-related issues Congress is discussing.
